Natural Masks For Dull Hair

Restoring the luminosity of dull hair is not an easy task. The lost shine diminishes the aesthetic sensation.

In general, this type of hair is dry, rough and difficult to style. They look bad to the eye and to the touch.

So, know some natural masks and tips to treat dull hair.

Characteristics of dull hair

The loss of shine or luminosity in the hair is due to an imbalance or alteration in the hair shaft and cuticle. This can be caused by poor diet, the weather, mechanical aggressions (such as some styling products, rough or dry brushing, the iron or the dryer, etc.), the sun’s rays (especially in summer when leaving the swimming pool full of chlorine or salty sea), stress, pollution (smog, tobacco) and the use of water that is too calcareous or “hard”.

  • Remove, let it warm and strain the infusion.
  • Apply the liquid to the scalp as a final rinse, after your traditional shampoo and conditioner wash. Do not rinse.

Carrot, egg and avocado mask

For this recipe for a homemade mask for dull hair you will need a carrot, half an avocado and an egg yolk.

  • Put the carrot in the blender (once you peel it) and grind it until you get a paste. You can also grate it.
  • Add the egg yolk and the crushed and peeled avocado.
  • Mix well until you have a smooth and creamy paste. The proper consistency is when you can spread it into your hair without it dripping. If this does not happen, you can add a little olive oil.
  • Apply to the scalp and let it work for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse with plenty of lukewarm water and wash as usual.
