Each type of skin needs a moisturizing lotion according to its characteristics. And it is that, in each case, it must fulfill a different function: Moisturize, nourish, regulate sebum production, fight acne, calm or prevent wrinkles.

A natural moisturizing lotion

Whenever we can, we should choose a moisturizing lotion that is made with natural ingredients. Therefore, it does not contain parabens, paraffins and other petroleum derivatives.

The most economical and natural option are vegetable oils.  These provide a large amount of nutrients to our skin.

It is essential to find the most suitable oil for our skin:

• If we choose it too oily, it will leave our skin shiny and prone to impurities and acne.
• On the contrary, if it is too light, it will not provide us with the necessary hydration.

The first thing we must know is what our skin type is, according to its main characteristics:

• Dry skin: It dries easily, with a tendency to chapped lips. It is a skin that has a matte appearance but, at times, dull. It is more prone to wrinkles.
• Oily skin: Although it is the skin that is best preserved and the one with the least wrinkles, it usually looks too shiny and can be prone to impurities.

Oily skin

Oily skin is more difficult to hydrate. If we don’t use the right product, we can have a rebound effect.

• Jojoba oil: It is the vegetable oil that has a texture more similar to that of the sebum of our skin, thanks to its high content of ceramides.

In this way the skin absorbs it easily, and thus we have a nourished complexion without shine.

Mixed skin

Combination skin needs an oil with the ability to regulate sebum production:

• Coconut oil : Coconut oil has balancing properties that also prevent impurities and acne.

Sensitive skin

Sensitive and delicate skin needs a mild oil that does not irritate the skin:

• Calendula oil: It is ideal for sensitive skin, prone to psoriasis, eczema, irritation and even burns.

Mature skin

Mature skin needs an oil to help prevent wrinkles and blemishes.

• Rosehip oil : Rosehip oil provides great nutrition to dull and dehydrated skin and softens wrinkles and blemishes.

Acne skin

For acne skin, which is usually oily or combination, we recommend the combination of these oils:

• Coconut oil: It has antiseptic and bactericidal properties and helps reduce inflammation. In addition, it hydrates the skin and prevents scars.
• Evening primrose oil: Regulates hormonal acne and improves the appearance of the skin.

We can also add essential tea tree oil to enhance the bactericidal effects and prevent superinfection.
