Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 strawberry or plain yogurt (125 g)

  • 3 tablespoons of sugar (45 g)
  • ½ kilo of strawberries
  • Syrup, cognac or liqueur

Strawberry shortcake with whipped cream

  • To start, preheat the oven to around 160 ºC on the top and bottom.
  • Next, beat the eggs with the sugar in a bowl.
  • Then add the oil, vanilla, cinnamon and yogurt and beat again.
  • Place the sifted flour and yeast and mix.
  • Then, grease a mold with oil and sprinkle with flour. However, if you use a silicone mold it is not necessary.
  • Then bake  your cake for 30-40 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, whip the cream with 3 tablespoons of sugar.
  • Then, once ready, divide the cake into 3 sheets. You can do it with a ham knife or with a biscuit cutter.
  • Place a layer of sponge cake  and on top  spread syrup, cognac or cinnamon  with a pastry brush, the cream and cut strawberries.
  • Finally, mount the 3 layers and finish with the cream and strawberries to your liking.

Strawberry shortcake with cream for beginners (with sponge cake)

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 purchased cake bases
  • 2 tubs of frozen cream or 500 ml of whipping cream
  • ½ kilo of strawberries
  • Strawberry jam (optional)
  • 1 or 2 teaspoons of vanilla flavoring (optional)
  • A glass of brandy, liquor or natural syrup
  • 1 mint leaf (optional)

Utensils:

  • Rod blender
  • Ladle
  • A saucepan

  • First, soak your cake bases with the cognac, syrup or liqueur. You can do this with a kitchen brush. However, be careful not to soak it too much so that the cake doesn’t break.

  • To finish, put cream around the whole cake and put strawberries in sheets on top of the cream.
  • Also, you can garnish with a mint leaf.

Note: For the syrup use 50 ml of water and 100 g of sugar. Put it in a saucepan and, so that it does not solidify, add a splash of lemon juice.

Strawberry tart with cream for beginners (with puff pastry)

This cake is exactly the same as the previous one, the only difference is that you have to substitute the cake for the puff pastry. In addition, you can buy it already made or buy it frozen and bake it.

It is very good if you cut the sheets, at least 3, in a rectangular shape. Prick the entire base with a fork so that it does not rise.
